*To join, you must meet the eligibility requirements and have all registration documents completed and submitted via our email.

Eligibility & Registration

  • Age Requirement: Participants must be 13–18 years old. Older students are welcome to join as volunteers.
  • School Enrollment: Must be enrolled in an accredited Slovak primary or secondary school (Základná škola or Stredná škola).
  • Nomination: A formal nomination from a teacher or school is required. We recommend reaching out to a teacher who knows your passion for neuroscience or science in general.
  • Application Process:
    – Fill out the online application form.
    – Gather all required documents and signatures (nomination from a teacher and legal guardian if under 18), which will be attached in e-mail after filling out the online formular.
    – Scan and email your completed materials to the organizing team.
    Registration is confirmed once your submission has been reviewed and approved.

Not Ready to Join the Competition? No Problem!

Even if you don’t meet the eligibility requirements or don’t want to compete, you can still be part of our community as a Volunteer or as a Brain Bee Ambassador. However, volunteers or Brain Bee Ambassadors cannot compete in the competition itself.

Volunteer and Brain Bee Ambassador Requirements:

  • 14+ years old
  • Must be a student
