Students ages 13–18 may compete. Participants must be no older than 18 at the time of the competition. We also welcome volunteers! If you’d like to help, you can apply by filling out the application form and sending it by mail. [Link to volunteer application]
Yes! Family members are welcome to attend as guests. Some parts of the competition, such as the written test, are closed to the public. However, the podium sessions and awards ceremony are open to guests.
Everything you need to know is in the Brain Facts Book – no prior neuroscience knowledge required! You can download the book [here – PDF link] and study straight from it. If you can read, learn, and get curious, you’re ready to compete.
We expect 15–50 participants. At this time, there is no regional round. Participants will be selected based on the strength of their application and a teacher recommendation.
The venue and full program schedule will be released closer to the competition date. All confirmed participants will receive the details in advance, so stay tuned!
